When you try to open Louts Notes 8.5, it gives error " Can't find view".
This happens due to a corrupt bookmark.nsf
To solve this problem recreate a bookmark.nsf
How to recreate a bookmark.nsf?
Close Lotus Notes.
Rename or delete bookmark.nsf
Start Lotus Notes. (Starting Lotus Notes will create a new bookmark.nsf file)

ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm new to Lotus Mail and this was really annoying.
ReplyDeleteTHank You. You Saved My Plenty of Time
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much! I have encountered a very similar problem with Sametime Connect. This solved the problem in less than 10 seconds. Again, thank you for being willing to take the time to post this!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I moved the old bookmarks file, restarted lotus notes and the archive appeared. However, my layout changed dramatically. I closed lotus notes again, copied the old bookmark file back into the notes folder, restarted notes, and magically the archive appeared again (and my old layout was retained). Strange.
ReplyDeletethank you so much.
ReplyDeleteMany Thanks... Got my issue solved...

I had this problem this morning and had no time to even try dealing with it so I sent it to my IT dept. After 5 hours of them scratching their heads I gave up on them and found this post in 5 seconds. Many thanks.. to you, not my IT dept.
ReplyDeleteThanks. helped me.
ReplyDeleteThanks it is working good, but why it is happening regular basis ( 2-3 times occurred)
ReplyDelete@Ashutosh Mani: May be the user is not doing clean shutdown. Is he using any applicaiton like kill notes? Ask him to stop lotus notes cleanly and wait till all notes tasks are stopped from the task manager.
ReplyDeleteIn my case I have done everything but the issue reappear. Even changed user's PC twice. It works for few days and then issue appear again. It goes away only when I delete the workspace folder but comes back again when user reboot the PC. I have raised a call with IBM they are still doing the guess work. Lets see how to goes.
